Creating The Best Kind Of Tadpole Home - If you're lucky enough to have a backyard, (and one that's preferably free of cats), you can actually build your own frog pond. Believe me, there's nothing nicer than falling asleep to the sound of a happy frog chorus "four-bobbing" away outside your bedroom window.
But if that's not possible, there are all sorts of other containers you can use: a polystyrene box (no holes of course), a clean, plastic rubbish bin, a wading pool (minus the kids), an old bathtub, a fish tank (no fish please), or a plain old plastic bucket or bin. Certainly, it's easier to keep a close eye on your frog off-spring when they're in a container, (you can even keep them in your bedroom, but ask mum first). And don't worry about mozzies. Their larvae are our favourite bush tucker.
